Patterns
Acrylic on stretched canvas. 18" X 25"
Free choice incorporating pattern. I decided to add symbolism. My second 'real' acrylic painting. Learned how to properly blend. Unification needed work.

Abstract Compositions
Acrylic paint on Stonehenge paper.
Assignment was to create five different abstract compositions utilizing the entire 30" X 22" sheet of paper, while keeping in mind color theory and creativity. I decided to make the pieces interact with each other for more unity. The red circle in the bottom right piece comes "off the page" in a three-dimensional fashion.

Practice Shadow Portraits
Black acrylic on watercolor paper. 30" X 22"
Goal was to practice painting and analyze shadows through direct observation, in preparation for a life-sized full body portrait. Had difficulties working life-sized as this was larger than what I've been comfortable with.
